I am Keith Mills, a professional artist based in Kingston Upon Hull in the United Kingdom and have been creating artwork for many years, having a particular interest in contemporary drawing.
I studied fine art to degree level and have an established background in arts and crafts and am fortunate to have been able to sell and exhibit much of what I create, having my work displayed and sold in various venues, specialist art and craft shops and galleries both locally and nationally.
Using the Internet to display my artwork has now allowed me to reach a much wider international audience.
I am now finding my work being collected by many people as it appeals to animal and pet lovers who purchase pieces for themselves and often as affordable and unique gifts.
I just love cats and dogs as inspiration for my art.
They can be cute and cuddly one moment, then mischievous and naughty the next.
Always in trouble, hungry or needing attention, they give me an endless source of ideas for new characters to create.
Bad dogs, good cats, grubby pooches and naughty kitties. They are all here just waiting to find new homes.
Totally imaginary animals, each one having its' own quirky personality, drawn in my own distinctive, individual and unique style, these funny pets are becoming very collectable and much loved by my customers.
I work quite intuitively, allowing my art to slowly evolve from one picture to the next as I try to draw ideas and inspiration from the more successful elements of each piece.
I find my artwork a very personal activity, only drawing the things which I choose to, so hopefully keeping my work as unique and original as possible.
I draw as often as I can and plan to regularly add new items to my collection so please call again soon.
